The Future Belongs to Technology The Most Popular Fields Among Graduates of 2025
In Russia, graduates preparing to apply to universities in twenty twenty five are increasingly choosing the field of information technology. According to a SuperJob survey, almost a quarter of applicants would like to link their future career to programming or cybersecurity. Digital specialties continue to be the most attractive choice. Engineering fields confidently hold second place, and compared to last year, interest in them has grown noticeably. Medical specialties rank third. About nine percent of future students plan to become doctors. A slightly smaller share of applicants choose fundamental and applied sciences, as well as teaching professions. Law remains in demand, but it is no longer among the leading fields.
A similar situation can be seen among those planning to enroll in colleges. Here too, information technology takes first place, with roughly one in five choosing this path. Medical mid level specialties come next, including nurses and paramedics. Skilled trades in construction and manufacturing maintain steady demand and complete the top three. Teaching and law are also among the five most popular fields for college students.
Overall, the trend shows that Russian applicants continue to aim for practical, technology driven, and reliably in demand professions, while still maintaining interest in medicine, education, and engineering.
